CEO-level capability,
when you need it

Everything we do has one aim: a P&L that works harder than you do. There are three ways to start, from a free three-minute read to ongoing advisory, and projects for clients when there's more to do. Each step has to earn the next, and you're never pushed to take it.

Business Review

Find the profit leaking out of your P&L in two hours. A working session on waste, structure, process, missed sales and revenue that isn't paying its way. Within five business days you get a two-page plan: the top three problems, what they cost, and what to do first. Two weeks later we check progress.

Money-back guarantee: If I don't find at least $1,490 in annual savings or profit improvements, you get a full refund. The fee is credited in full to a Retainer or project started within 30 days.

Advisory Retainer

Three times your fees identified in three months, or I keep working free.

An experienced CEO in your corner. Each month we review performance, work through what's in front of you and agree the actions. Between sessions, you can call or message when a decision can't wait.

Guarantee: in the first three months I'll identify savings or profit improvements worth at least three times your fees, annualised. If I don't, I keep working at no charge until I have. Conditions apply.

Three-month minimum, then month to month with 30 days' notice.

Projects

When a Business Review or Retainer uncovers a bigger opportunity, we can take it on as a project. We quantify the savings first, then you choose how to pay: a fixed fee, or a share of the savings we deliver.

Projects start from a Business Review or Retainer, not a cold call.

  • Waste and cost: materials, labour, energy, procurement and overheads
  • Structure and process: roles, accountability and the way work actually flows
  • Sales and margin: unprofitable revenue, pricing and missed opportunities
  • Sale and succession: making the business worth more and less reliant on you

The method

The Restructure & Growth Framework™

The work follows four stages, in order. Most businesses try to grow before they've stabilised, which is why growth feels so hard.

Stage 1StabiliseStop the bleeding. Cash, safety, quality and the customers you can't afford to lose.
Stage 2OptimiseFix margin, process and accountability so results stop depending on heroics.
Stage 3GrowPursue the right customers and products, with a structure that can carry them.
Stage 4ScaleBuild the leadership team and systems so the business runs without the owner.

The alternative to a senior hire

Faster than hiring, at a fraction of the cost

Hiring a general manager takes most of a year before they deliver anything, and a wrong hire sets you back further.

OptionCostTime to impactRisk if it doesn't work
Recruit a general manager$280–350k in year one9–12 monthsHigh: salary, fees, notice
Recruit a CEO$380–550k in year one12–18 monthsVery high
Advisory Retainer$1,950 a month, paid monthlyFirst monthLow: cancel after three months
Retainer + a projectMonthly retainer + project at a fixed fee or share of savingsWeeksLow: no employment liability

Hiring costs include salary, super, recruiter fees (typically 15–20% of first-year salary) and ramp-up time. The Advisory Retainer is billed one month at a time, never annually. All our prices exclude GST.

Questions

Before you get in touch

Where do you work?

We're based in Gippsland and work across Melbourne and regional Victoria in person. Interstate work is done remotely with site visits as needed.

Is this consulting or coaching?

Neither, quite. You get someone who has run the whole business and is used to being accountable for the result. We diagnose, then help you implement. We don't hand over a report and leave.

Do we have to commit to a long engagement?

No. The Business Review is a one-off. The Advisory Retainer has a three-month minimum, because real change takes at least that long, then runs month to month. Projects run for an agreed scope and timeframe.

How does billing work?

The Review is paid upfront and the Retainer is billed monthly in advance. Project fees, fixed or savings-based, are split across the project timeframe. There are no hourly bills and no surprises.

We're a family business. Does that change things?

It usually means the hardest problems aren't on the P&L: roles that grew around people, partners or generations who see the future differently, succession that nobody wants to raise. We've worked inside private and family-run businesses and handle those conversations carefully and in confidence.

What size businesses and industries?

Privately owned businesses turning over $3M or more, in any industry. Most of our experience is in manufacturing, food and industrial services, but the principles carry: the P&L doesn't care what you sell.
